Senior Clerk, Class-III (in the Office of the Commissionerate of Cottage and Rural Industries and Subordinate Office) Recruitment Rules, 2000 In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Art. 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Senior Clerk, Class-III, in the Commissionerate of Cottage and Rural Industries and its subordinate office namely: 1. . :- These rules may be called the Senior Clerk, Class-III, (in the Office of the Commissionerate of Cottage and Rural Industries and Subordinate Office) Recruitment Rules, 2000. 2. . :- Appointment to the post of Senior Clerk, Class III, shall be made by promotion of a person of proved merit and efficiency from among the persons who have worked for not less than five years in the Cadre of Junior Clerk, in the subordiante service, of Cottage and Rural Industries, Gujarat State, and who have passed the prescribed Departmental examination. Provided that an appointing authority is satisfied that a person having an exerperience specified above is not available for promotion and that it is in public interest to fill up the post by promotion of a person having experience for a lesser period, it may, for reasons to be recorded in writing, promote such a person who possesses experience for a period of not less than two thirds of the said period.
