Senior Clerk (in the Gujarat Sales Tax Tribunal) Class-III, Recruitment Rules, 2000 In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Art. 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules for regulating recruitment to the post of Senior Clerk, Class-III in the subordinate service of the Gujarat Sales Tax Tribunal, namely: 1. . :- These rules may be called the Senior Clerk (in the Gujarat Sales Tax Tribunal) Class-III, Recruitment Rules, 2000. 2. . :- Appointment to the post of Senior Clerk shall be made by promotion of a person of proved merit and efficiency from amongst the persons who have worked for not less than five years in the cadre of clerk or clerk-cum-typist or typist on the basis of common seniority in the Gujarat Sales Tax Tribunal. Provided that where an appointing authority is satisfied that a person having an experience specified above is not available for promotion and that it is necessary in the public interest to fill up the post by promotion even if a person having experience for a lesser period, it may, for the reasons to be recorded in writing, promote a parson possessing experience for a period not less than two thirds of total period specified above.
