Savings Sevvalpatti Impartible Estate Act, 1930 09 of 1930 [24 June 1930] PREAMBLE An Act to declare the Sevvalpatti Estate to be an Impartible Estate within the meaning of the Madras Impartible Estates Act 2[ ] 1904. Whereas it is expedient to declare that the Sevvalpatti Estate is an impartible estate and that its proprietor cannot exercise unrestricted powers of alienation in respect thereof; And whereas the previous sanction of the Governor-General has been obtained to the passing of this Act; It is hereby enacted as follows:-- 1. For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see Port St. George Gazette, dated rith March 1930-Part IV, pages 196-197. 2.The expression " II of" was omitted by section 3 of, and the Second Schedule to, the Madras Repealing and Amending Act, 1951 (Madras Act XIV of 1951). 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the Sevvalpatti Impartible Estate Act, 1930. 2. The Sevvalpatti Estate to be impartible within the Meaning of the Madras Impartible Estates Act, 1904 :- Notwithstanding any decision of court, rule of law or enactment to the contrary, the Sevvalpatti Estate in the Ramnad and Tinnevelly districts is hereby declared to be an impartible estate within the meaning of the Madras Impartible Estates Act, 1[ ] 1904 (Madras Act II of 1904) and shall in the hands of the present owner as well as his heirs and successors, be subject to the provisions of that Act. 1.The expression " II of" was omitted by section 3 of, and the Second Schedule to, the Madras Repealing and Amending Act, 1951 (Madras Act XIV of 1951). 3. Savings :- This Act shall not affect any alienation made or debt incurred before the earning into force of this Act.
