Rule Social Welfare Inspector (Class-III) (Junior Grade) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by Scon 227 read with Sec. 274 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. 18 of 1993) and in supersession of all the rules made in this behalf, the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules to provide for regulating recruitment to the post of Social Welfare Inspector (Class-III) (Junior Grade) (Panchayat Service), namely: 1. Rule :- These rules may be called the Social Welfare Inspector (Class-III) (Junior Grade) (Panchayat Service) Recruitment Rules, 1998. 2. Rule :- Appointment to the post of Social Welfare Inspector (Class-III) (Junior Grade) (Panchayat Service) shall be made by direct selection. 3. Rule :- To be eligible for appointment by direct selection to the post mentioned in Rule 2, a candidate shall (a) not be less than 21 years and not more than 28 years of age; (b) possess a bechelor's degree from a University established by law in India or deemed to be a university as per the provision of Sec. 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (Act 3 of 1956); (c) have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. 4. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be on probation for a period of one year. 5. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be required to undergo such training for such period and pass such post training examination as may be prescribed by the Government. 6. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be required to pass the departmental examination and an examination in Gujarati or Hindi or both as may be prescribed by the Government. 7. Rule :- A selected candidate shall be required to furnish a security and surety bond for such amount, in such form and for such period as may be prescribed by the Government.
