BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Received the Assent of the Governor of Tamil Nadu on the 9th May 2005 Published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IV, Section 2, Iss. No.1 11, pages 14 dated 10th May, 2005. 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 2005. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment Of Section 89 :- I n Section 89 of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Societies Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1983), in the proviso to sub-section (1), for the expression "four years", the expression "five years" shall be substituted.
