Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies (Fifth Amendment) Act, 2012. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 89 :- In section 89 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983(Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1983), in the proviso to sub-section (1), for the expression "eleven years and six months", the expression "eleven years, eight months and twenty days" shall be substituted.
