BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Fishermen and Labourers engaged in Fishing and other Allied Activities (Social Security and Welfare) Amendment Act, 2014. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. 2. Amendment of section 9 :- In section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Fishermen and Labourers engaged in Fishing and other Allied Activities (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2007, in sub-section (4), in clause (vi), for the expression "Public Works and Forest Departments", the expression "Public Works, Fisheries and Forest Departments" shall be substituted.
