Received the assent of the Governor on the 23rd February, 2004 - Published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IV, Section 2, Issue No.61, Page 14, dated 24th February, 2004. 1. Short Tile And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu General Sales Tax (Amendment) Act, 2004. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of October 2003. 2. Amendment Of Eleventh Schedule :- In the Eleventh Schedule to the Tamil Nadu General Sales Tax Act, 1959 (Tamil Nadu Act 1 of 1959), in item 16, in column (2), for the expression "Petrol", the expression "Petrol with or without additives " shall be substituted.
