Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Received the Assent of the Governor of Tamil Nadu on September 18, 2006 -- Published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IV, Section 2, Iss. No.265, page 135, dated September 20, 2006. 2. Vide Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Bill No.26 of 2006, introduced on 24.8.2006 -- As published in T.N. Government Gazette, Extra., Part IV, Section 1, Issue No.203, pages 27-28, dated 24.8.2006. 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Amendment Act, 2006. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. 2. Amendment Of Section 6 :- In Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), sub-section (4) shall be omitted.
