BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Amendment Act, 2014. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint. 2. Amendment of section 8-A :- In section 8-A of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, in Explanation, in clause (b), for sub-clause (i), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:- " ( i ) the Central Government, the Central Government Undertakings, any State Government or Union Territory Administration;".
