Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- - 1. Received the Assent of the Governor of Tamil Nadu on August 5, 2009 -- Published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IV, Section 2, Iss. No.205, page 65, dated August 6, 2009. 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, 2009. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 9th day of April 2009. 2. Amendment Of Fifth Schedule :- In the Fifth Schedule to the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act, 2006 (Tamil Nadu Act 32 of 2006), after serial number 12 and the entry relating thereto, the following serial number and the entry shall, respectively be added, namely:-- "13. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.".
