Saving SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE TEXTILES (FURNISHING OF INFORMATION AND STATISTICS) ORDER, 1987 S.O. 704 (E), dated 16th July, 1987 @1. -In exercise of the powers conferred by Sec. 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), and in supersession of the Notifications of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Commerce and Industry, No. S.R.O. No. 1252, dated the 27th June, 1953, S.R.O. 1150, dated the 30th May, 1955 and S.R.O. 1149, dated the 11th June, 1958, the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely : 1. Short title and commencement :- (1) This Order may be called the Textile (Furnishing of Information and Statistics) Order, 1987. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions :- In this Order, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) the expressions "Textile Commissioner", "manufacture", "person", "cloth", "yarn" and "wool top" shall have the same meaning as they have in the Textile (Control) Order, 1986. (b) "manufacturer of textiles machineries and spare parts" means manufacturers of textiles machineries which are declared to be essential commodities in pursuance of sub-clause (xi) of Cl. (a) of Sec. 2 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), and spare parts of such machineries; (c) the expression "Cotton Ginning Factory" and "Cotton Pressing Factory" shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Cotton Control Order, 1986. 3. Furnishing of informations and statistics :- Every producer and manufacturer of cloth, yam, wool tops, textile machineries and spare parts and every person, owner or lessee of a Cotton Ginning Factory or Cotton Pressing Factory, indicated in column 2 of the Schedule below, shall furnish in the Forms appended hereto and shown against him in the corresponding entries in column 3 of the Schedule, true and accurate informations and statistics relating to his undertaking, so as to reach the Textile Commissioner to the Government of India, Bombay-400 020 on or before the date specified in column 5 of the said schedule : 4. Saving :- Where any information or statistics have already been furnished for any period in the Form in force immediately before the commencement of the Order, such information or statistics shall be deemed to have been furnished for that period under the provisions of this Order. SCHEDULE 1 SCHEDULE Explanation.-The expressions "Cotton cloth", "Cotton yarn", "Man-made fibre cloth", "Woollen cloth", "Woollen yarn", "Controlled cloth" and "Processor" appearing in the Schedule, shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Textiles (Control) Order, 1986.
