Repeal And Saving Uttar Pradesh Electricity (Duty) (Amendment) Act, 1987 13 of 1987 [29 July 1987] An Act further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Electricity (Duty) Act, 1952 It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-- 1. Received the assent of the Governor on July 29, 1987, and published in the U.P. Gazette (Extra.), Part-1, Section (ka), dated 29th July, 1987. 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Electricity (Duty) (Amendment) Act, 1987. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on November 26, 1986. 2. Amendment Of Section 3 Of U.P. Act No. Xxxiii Of 1952 :- I n Section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Electricity (Duty) Act, 1952, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in sub-section (2),-- (i) for the words "thirty-five per cent" the words "fifty per cent" shall be substituted; (ii) for the words "eight paise", the words "nine paise" shall be substituted. 3. Repeal And Saving :- The Uttar Pradesh Electricity (Duty) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1987 (U.P. Ordinance No. 5 of 1987), is hereby repealed.
