Received the assent of the Governor on October 23, 2006 and published in the U.P. Gazette, Extra, Part 1, Section (Ka), dated 26th October, 2006, pp. 2-3 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Entertainments and Betting Tax (Amendment) Act, 2006. 2. Amendment Of Section 3-A Of U.P. Act No. 28 Of 1979 :- In Section 3-A of the Uttar Pradesh Entertainments and Betting Tax Act, 1979 in sub-section (1), in clause (a) for the words "one rupee and fifty paise" the words "three rupees" shall be substituted.
