Act No. 4 Of 1975 Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2008 24 of 2008 An Act further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation Act, 1974 It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Received the assent of the Governor on August 28, 2008 and published in the Gazette of U.P., Extra., Part 1, Section (Ka), dated 29th August, 2008, pp. 3-4 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2008. 2. Amendment Of Section 23 Of U.P. Act No. 4 Of 1975 :- (1) In Section 23 of the Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation Act, 1974 for sub-sections (2), (3) and (4) the following sub-sections shall be substituted, namely:-- "(2) The accounts of the Corporation shall be subject to audit annually by the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India or any person authorised by him, and any expenditure incurred by him in connection with such audit shall be payable by the Corporation to the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India or any person authorized by him. (3) The Comptroller and Auditor-General of India or any person authorized by him in connection with the audit of accounts of the Corporation shall have the same rights, privileges and authority in connection with such audit as the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India has in connection with the audit of the accounts of an Organisation and, in particular, shall have right to demand the production of books, accounts, connected vouchers and other document and papers and to inspect the office of the Corporation. (4) The accounts of the Corporation as certified by the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India or any person authorized by him in that behalf together with the audit report thereof shall be forwarded annually to the State Government.".
