Repeal And Savings Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2000 19 of 2000 An Act further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958 It is hereby enacted in the Fifty- first Year of the Republic of India as follows :-- 1. Received the assent of the Governor on May 5, 2000 and published in the U.P. Gazette, Extra., Part 1, Section (Ka), dated 5th May, 2000, pp. 3-4 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2000. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on March 3, 2000. 2. Amendment Of Section 2 Of U.P. Act No. 45 Of 1958 :- I n Section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in clause (1) for the words "the Chandrashekhar Azad Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya" the words "the Chandrashekhar Azad Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya or the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya", shall be substituted. 3. Amendment Of Section 2-A :- In Section 2-A of the principal Act,-- (a) in the marginal heading, the words "at Faizabad and Kanpur" shall be omitted; (b) after sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely :-- "(1-A) Besides the Universities referred to in sub-section (1), there shall be established, with effect from such date as the State Government may by notification in the Gazette appoint in that behalf a University at Meerut to be known as the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya." (c) in sub-section (2) for the words and figure "sub-section (1)" the words and figures "sub-section (1) or sub-section (1-A)" shall be substituted. 4. Amendment Of The Schedule :- In the principal Act, for the existing Schedule the following Schedule shall be substituted, namely :-- THE SCHEDULE (See Section 6-A) Sl. No. Name of the University Area within which the University shall exercise jurisdiction for the purposes of extension, training and research 1 2 3 1 Gobind Ballabh Pant Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya-- (a) until the establishment of the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Kumaun, Garhwal, Moradabad, Bareilly, Saharanpur and Meerut Divisions (b) upon the establishment of the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Kumaun, Garhwal, Moradabad and Bareilly Divisions 2. Narendra Deva Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Basti, Devipatan, Varanasi, Azamgarh and Mirzapur Divisions 3. Chandrashekhar Azad Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya-- (a) until the establishment of the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi, Agra, Allahabad and Chitrakootdham Divisions (b) upon the establishment of the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi, Allahabad and Chitrakootdham Divisions 4. Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya Meerut, Saharanpur and Agra Divisions." 5. Repeal And Savings :- (1) The Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhyadesh, 2000 (U.P. Ordinance No. 6 of 2000) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the provisions of the principal Act as amended by the Ordinance referred to in sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of the principal Act as amended by the Act as if this Act were in force at all material times.
