Received the assent of the Governor on March 20, 2006 and published in the U.P. Gazette, Extra., Part 1, Section (Ka), dated 20th March, 2006, pp. 5-8 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) (Amendment) Act, 2006. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on January 1, 2003. 2. Amendment Of Section 2 Of U.P. Act No. 15 Of 1971 :- In Section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in clause (a) for the words "daily allowance" the words "honorarium, daily allowance" shall be substituted. 3. Amendment Of Section 3 :- In Section 3 of the principal Act,-- (a) for clause (x) the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- - "(x) the office of the Chairman, or Vice-Chairman or member (whether called Director or by any other name) of each of the following bodies, namely:-- (1) Uttar Pradesh State Financial Corporation (2) Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (3) Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation (4) Uttar Pradesh Awas Evam Vikas Parishad (5) Uttar Pradesh State Small Industries Corporation Ltd.
