Act No. Ix Of 1961 Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane (Purchase Tax) (Amendment) Act, 1989 13 of 1989 An Act further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane (Purchase Tax) Act, 1961 It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Received the assent of the Governor on April 8, 1989 and published in the U.P. Gazette, Extra., Part-1, Section (ka), dated 10th April, 1989, p. 2. 1. Short Title And Commencement :- (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane (Purchase Tax) (Amendment) Act, 1989. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. 2. Amendment Of Section 3 Of U.P. Act No. Ix Of 1961 :- In Section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane (Purchase Tax) Act, 1961, in sub-section (1), for clause (a), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-- "(a) a factory at such rate not exceeding ten per cent of the per quintal price of sugarcane, as the State Government may notify in this behalf, and."
