Received the assent of the Governor on May 29, 2006 and published in the U.P. Gazette, Extra., Part 1, Section (Ka), dated 30th May, 2006, p. 3 1. Short Title :- This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane (Regulation of Supply and Purchase) (Amendment) Act, 2006. 2. Amendment Of Section 2 Of U.P. Act No. 24 Of 1953 :- In Section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane (Regulation of Supply and Purchase) Act, 1953, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, clause (b) shall be omitted. 3. Omission Of Sections 3 And 4 :- Sections 3 and 4 of the principal Act shall be omitted. 4. Amendment Of Section 28 :- I n Section 28 of the principal Act, for the words "Board and Council" wherever occurring, the word "Council" shall be substituted.
