Appropriation SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1953 11 of 1953 [31 March 1953] PREAMBLE An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954. Whereas it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 1 For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 18th March, 1953, Part IVA, page 370; for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, see the proceedings of the meeting of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly held on the 20th March, 1953; and for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Council, see the proceedings of the meeting of the West Bengal Legislative Council held on the 30th March, 1953. 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1953. 2. Issue of Rs. 75,11,52,001 out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the year 1953-54 :- From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees seventy-five crores, eleven lakhs, fifty-two thousand and one towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954, in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3. Appropriation :- The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954.
