Appropriation SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1954 09 of 1954 [30 March 1954] PREAMBLE An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1955. Whereas it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1955; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 1 For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 20th March, 1954, Part IVA, page 342; for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, see the proceedings of the meetings of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly held on the 22nd and 23rd March, 1954; and for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Council, see the proceedings of the meetings of the West Bengal Legislative Council, held on the 24th and 25th March, 1954. 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1954. 2. Issue of Rs. 90,67,83,001 out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the year 1954-55 :- From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees ninety crores, sixty-seven lakhs, eighty-three thousand and one towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1955, in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3.
