Appropriation SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1957 05 of 1957 [29 March 1957] PREAMBLE An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1957. Whereas it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1957; It is hereby enacted in the Eighth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 1. For the Statement of Objects and Reasons, see the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 23rd March, 1957, Part IVA, page 1203; for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, see the proceedings of the meeting of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly held on the 25th March, 1957; and for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Council, see the proceedings of the meeting of the West Bengal Legislative Council held on the 26th March, 1957. 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1957. 2. Issue of Rs. 15,37,47,237 out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the year 1956-57 :- From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees fifteen crores, thirty-seven lakhs, forty-seven thousand and two hundred and thirty-seven towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1957, in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3. Appropriation :- The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1957.
