Appropriation SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE West Bengal Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 1957 7 of 1957 [11 July 1957] PREAMBLE An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1958. Whereas it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1958; It is hereby enacted in the Eighth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- 1. For the Statement of Objects and Reasons, see the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 28th June, 1957, Part IV A, page 2727-2733; for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, see the proceedings of the meeting of that Assembly held on the 2nd July, 1957; and for the proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Council, see the proceedings of the meeting of that Council held on the 3rd July, 1957. 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 1957. 2. Issue of Rs. 62,44, 44,001out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the year 1957-58, in addition to the sum already authorised to be withdrawn for that year :- In addition to the sum of fifty-one crores, sixty-two lakhs and sixteen thousand rupees authorised to be withdrawn and appropriated under the West Bengal Appropriation (Vote on Account) Act, 1957,(Act VI of 1957.) there may be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal, sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees sixty-two crores, forty-four lakhs, forty-four thousand and one towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1958, in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3. Appropriation :- The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1958.
