Appropriation SCHEDULE 1 :- SCHEDULE West Bengal Appropriation (No. 3) Act, 1953 28 of 1953 [19 December 1953] PREAMBLE An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954. Whereas it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 1 For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 14th November, 1953, Pt. IVA, page 1336; for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, see the proceedings of the meeting of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly held on the 16th November, 1953; and for proceedings of the West Bengal Legislative Council, see the proceedings of the meeting of the West Bengal Legislative Council held on the 23rd November, 1953. 1. Short title :- This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (No. 3) Act, 1953. 2. Issue of Rupees 13,91,56,001 out of the Consoli dated Fund of West Bengal for the year 1953-54 :- From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Rupees thirteen crores, ninety-one lakhs, fifty-six thousand and one towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954, in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule. 3. Appropriation :- The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1954.
