1. The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioner for the following reliefs:
“(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ / order /direction commanding upon the concerned respondents to give the promotional and consequential benefits to the petitioner to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police with retrospective effect from 22.08.2005 where other batch mates and his Junior Inspectors of Police have been promoted as Deputy Superintendent of Police, but, the petitioner has been discriminated and was promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police from 27.06.2008 without any rhyme and reason while no departmental proceeding was even pending.
(ii) For issuance of further writ(s) / order(s) /direction(s) for commanding upon the concerned respondents to give the promotional and consequential benefits to the petitioner to the post of Senior Deputy Superintendent of Police with retrospective effect from 24.06.2011, whereby other batch mates and Junior Deputy Superintendent of Police have been promoted as Senior Deputy Superintendent of Police, but, the petitioner has been discriminated and not promoted in the post of Senior Deputy Superintendent of Police, subsequently the petitioner has retired on 31.01.2012 from the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
(iii) For issuance of further writ / order /direction for commanding upon the concerned respondents to give the arrears of differences of salary to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police from 22.08.2005 upto 27.06.2008 and difference of salary to the post of Senior Deputy Superintendent of Police from 24.06.2011 upto the date of superannuation i.e. 31.01.2012 be paid to the petitioner and also prays that the retiral dues, pension and other consequential benefits be granted to the petitioner with interest @ 18% per annum.
And / Or
(iv) For issuance of further writ / order /direction as Your Lordships may deem fit and proper for doing conscionable justice to the petitioner.”
2. After some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this writ application in order to represent before the concerned respondents so far as monetary benefit is concerned.
3. Learned counsel for the respondents does not raise objection.
4. Having regard to the aforesaid submission, the instant writ application stands disposed of with liberty to petitioner as prayed for.
