1. The instant Criminal Petition is filed under Section 528 of the BNSS, by the Petitioner/Accused, to quash the proceedings in Crime No.83 of 2025 of Nandalur Police Station, Annamayya District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 105 of BNS and Sections 135(1)(a) and 135(1)(e) of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003.

2. Heard Sri P.Kaasi Nageshwara Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this is a case in which the petitioner had laid an electric fence around his field, and the deceased accidentally came into contact with the fence, resulting in his death.

4. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders.

5. Considering the submissions made, the police are directed not to take any coercive steps against the petitioner and the investigation shall go on. It does not preclude the police to conclude the investigation in the present crime and to file a report.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, shall stands closed.
