1. The petitioners have filed the instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to implement the decision of the PSeGS taken in the 30 th Executive Committee Meeting dated 13.06.2018 (Annexure P-2) as well as the speaking order dated 28.07.2020 (Annexure P-4) passed by the Principal Secretary, Department of Governance Reforms & Public Grievances, Punjab in pursuant to the order dated 05.06.2020 passed by this Court in CWP No.7765 of 2020 (Annexure P-3) as similarly placed employees have already been granted the said benefit. Further, directing the respondents to fix the standard pay for Programmers and Data Entry Operators etc. as decided in the abovesaid meeting and also to pay the arrears/increments w.e.f. 01.06.2018 till date along with interest @ 12% per annum.
2. Short reply by way of an affidavit of Sh. Vishesh Sarangal, Special Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Good Governance and Information Technology, Punjab, on behalf of respondents No.1 & 2, has been filed in the Court which is taken on record. In para 11 of the said reply, it has been stated as under :-
“11. That the matter is of considerable significance and involves due diligence. In view of the detailed scrutiny being carried out by the Committee, it is respectfully submitted that a minimum period of two months may be granted to enable the respondents to complete the exercise.”

Learned State counsel, on instructions from Ms. Prabhjeet Kaur, Law Officer, PSeGS, submits that the necessary benefit, as claimed in the present petition, shall be released to the petitioners and also to the similarly placed employees who are non-petitioners within a period of two months from today.
4. In view of the said statement, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition.
5. Disposed of as not pressed.
6. However, it is made clear that if the necessary payment is not released within a period of two months, the petitioners shall be at liberty to file an application for revival of the instant petition.
