1. A Criminal Case No.696 of 2021, “State of Uttarakhand vs. Arun Bisht and Others”, is pending before the court of Judicial Magistrate, Rishikesh, District Dehradun under Section 406 and Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

2. Heard Mr. Gaurav Kandpal, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. Virendra Singh Rawat, learned Assistant Government Advocate for the respondent no.1.

3. Mr. Gaurav Kandpal, Advocate, appearing for the applicant – informant aged about 78 years, is requesting to direct the Judicial Magistrate to conclude the said criminal case as expeditiously as possible.

4. Learned counsel for the respondent no.1 has no objection.

5. The present Application, filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 is disposed of directing the Judicial Magistrate, Rishikesh, District Dehradun to expedite the said Criminal Case No.696 of 2021 and conclude the proceedings as per law and as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to the parties.
