Jitendra Chauhan, J.@mdashHeard. 2. In pursuance of the order dated 13.1.2012 passed by this Court, the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hisar has sent his report alongwith the statements of parties. In this report, it has been mentioned that the parties have settled their dispute amicably with the intervention of brotherhood panchayat. In his statement, the complainant Ajay has stated that he does not want to proceed with the case against the petitioners and as such has no objection if FIR in question and consequent proceedings may be quashed. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in continuing the proceedings. In view of the law laid down by the Full Bench of this Court in re: Kulwinder Singh and others versus State of Punjab and another 2007(3) RCR (Crl.) 1052, the Court is competent to quash the proceedings on the basis of compromise. Accordingly, this petition is allowed and FIR No. 400 dated 15.8.2007 (Annexure P-1), registered under Sections 365, 324, 323, 343, 34, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 25/27 of the Arms Act at Police Station Civil Lines, Hisar and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed qua the petitioners.
