Ranjit Singh, J.@mdashNone had appeared for the petitioners on 21.10.2011 and the case was adjourned for today. The counsel for the
petitioners today points out that petitioner Karamjeet Kaur is in the illegal custody of respondent Nos.4 to 6.
2. At this stage, Mr.Swarn Tiwana, Advocate appears on behalf of the private respondents and points out that petitioner Karamjeet Kaur is now
with her parents and is present in the Court. I have spoken to Karamjeet Kaur. She has disclosed that she is voluntarily staying with her parents.
She further points out that she was forced to marry petitioner No.2 Gulsharan Pal Singh by putting her under a fear that petitioner No.2 is having
her few snaps and in case she refuses to marry him, he would publish these photographs in Newspaper.
3. This would indicate that petitioner No.2 has blackmailed petitioner No.1 in forcing her to marry him. It was not a voluntary marriage. Petitioner
No.1 was forced to succumb to the wishes of petitioner No.2. No case for grant of protection in this case is made out.
4. The police is directed to look into the mater and in case any cognizable offence is made out to register a case against petitioner No.2 for having
performed this marriage in an illegal manner. Petitioner No.2 has to account for his illegal act.
5. The present petition is accordingly dismissed.
