1. This petition has been preferred by petitioner for direction on the respondents to consider his case for appointment on compassionate ground.
2. According to petitioner, his father, late Deo Narayan Jha was in the services of the J.S.E.B. and died in-harness on 7th August, 2002 while
posted as Messenger in the office of Electric Supply Division. Deoghar. Thereafter, he applied for appointment on compassionate ground within
time and his case was recommended on 24th October, 2002. Thereafter, the General Manager-cum-Chief Engineer, Dumka Area, Dumka has
forwarded the matter to Headquarters at Ranchi but no final decision has been taken by the authorities.
3. In the facts and circumstances, as the matter requires determination firstly by the respondents, instead of asking them to file counter affidavit, the
case is remitted with liberty to the petitioner to, bring''''the matter to the notice of the Secretary, J.S.E.B., Ranchi, who in his turn will enquire into
the matter and pass an appropriate order in terms with recommendation, if any, made by the Selection Committee, within a period of four months
from the date of receipt of representation.
If the authority rejects the claim, will communicate the ground to the petitioner.
This writ petition stands disposed of. with the aforesaid observations directions.
