1. The writ petitioner is the appellant before us. He was compulsorily retired.
2. A writ petition was filed, which was dismissed. Being aggrieved, the writ petitioner has come up with this writ appeal.
3. The writ petitioner was an employee of the Bank and he collected Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) only, from Chandrappa and
Thippeswamy and intentionally delayed depositing Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) only. It has cascading effect, inasmuch as Chandrappa said
he could not repay the loan of the Bank because the writ petitioner did not return the money.
4. The authorities conducted an enquiry and, ultimately, came to the conclusion that the conduct of the writ petitioner tarnished the image of the
Bank. Consequently, he was imposed with the punishment of compulsory retirement.
5. The Hon''ble Single Judge, in our view, rightly dismissed the writ petition. We do not find any merit in the writ appeal.
6. The writ appeal stands dismissed.
7. There will be no order as to costs.
